Advantages of 3T MRI

Higher image quality and better resolution

A stronger magnetic field increases the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), resulting in sharper and more detailed images. This is especially important for visualizing small structures such as brain lesions or joints.

Faster scanning
A high SNR allows for shorter scan times while maintaining image quality. This improves patient comfort and reduces the risk of motion artifacts.
Improved pathology detection
Thanks to higher contrast and greater sensitivity to tissue changes, 3T MRI enables better identification of small tumors, microscopic bleeding, and early signs of neurological diseases (e.g., multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease).
Advanced multiparametric imaging
The 3T scanner uses Deep Resolve — an image reconstruction technology based on artificial intelligence and neural networks — enabling higher-quality diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI).
Better visualization of low-proton-density tissues

Tissues such as cartilage, tendons, or bones have a low proton density, making them difficult to visualize on a 1.5T scanner. With 3T MRI, these structures are more clearly visible, which is particularly beneficial in orthopedics and sports medicine.

Restrictions and Contraindications
  • No special preparation is required before the MRI examination.
  • Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke for at least 2 hours prior to the scan.
  • We recommend using the restroom just before entering the changing room.
  • Upon arrival, submit your MRI referral form and sign the informed consent form, which contains essential information about the MRI procedure.
  • Our staff will escort you to the changing room, where you will leave your clothing, jewelry, and personal belongings. All metallic items — including phones, watches, credit cards, and other magnet-sensitive objects — must be removed to avoid damage.
  • Most scans are performed while lying on your back; in some specific cases, you may lie on your stomach.
  • The patient lies in a narrow space for approximately 20–30 minutes.
  • The noise during the scan is reduced using headphones — you can choose music to listen to in advance — or you may use earplugs instead.
  • It is important to stay still and avoid any movement during the entire scan.
  • Instructions such as when to inhale or hold your breath may be given via a microphone.
  • In some types of MRI examinations, a non-iodinated contrast agent is administered intravenously — either as part of the standard protocol or to clarify a specific finding.
  • MRI has no known side effects.
  • If no contrast agent is used, you may leave immediately after the scan.
  • If contrast agent was administered, you will remain under medical supervision for 20 minutes.

Who Cannot Undergo an MRI Scan

  • Individuals with pacemakers (including MRI-compatible ones – we do not scan patients with any type of pacemaker)
  • Individuals with other electronic implants (e.g. neurostimulators, cochlear implants)
  • Individuals with postoperative brain clips (unless a neurosurgeon confirms the material is MRI-compatible)
  • Individuals with metallic foreign objects in the eye (e.g. metal shavings)
  • Individuals with insulin pumps

Other Limitations

  • We do not recommend MRI scans during the first trimester of pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding women can undergo an MRI; if a contrast agent is required, detailed instructions will be provided by the MRI staff
  • Patients with joint replacements, surgical clips, artificial heart valves, screws, or plates can undergo an MRI scan if these have been implanted for more than 6 weeks

Magnetic Resonance Imaging
of the Breast

We also offer breast implant integrity assessment.

Head icon
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
of the vessels (MRA)

It allows monitoring of blood flow in the vessels and the identification of vascular abnormalities (e.g., MRA of the brain, lower limbs, or aorta).

Head icon
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
of the Head and Brain

This examination allows the evaluation of pathological changes in brain structure. It is used in the diagnosis of tumors, inflammatory conditions, head trauma, headaches, and cerebrovascular diseases. It also serves to monitor treatment effectiveness in tumor and inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis.

Head icon
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
of the Spine

This examination is used to diagnose degenerative diseases of the spine. It helps detect conditions such as herniated discs, traumatic changes, spinal canal tumors, metastatic involvement of the vertebrae, as well as inflammatory, neoplastic, or degenerative diseases of the spinal cord.

Head icon
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
of the Prostate

This is a key complement to biopsy, enabling the assessment of cancer extent and providing detailed images of the prostate tissue and surrounding structures.

Head icon
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
of the Neck

This examination provides comprehensive diagnostics of the ENT (ear, nose, and throat) region. It helps identify developmental anomalies, tumors in the neck area, and other pathological changes.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Children

Without stress, with a smile, and with continuous contact with parents. And after the examination, we have a small gift for every young patient.

How to Prepare Your Child for the Examination

  • Prepare your child for the examination in advance and practice everything at home. It’s important to clearly explain what to expect in a way your child can understand.
  • Describe the MRI machine as a big camera or a spaceship, and compare the sounds it makes to a space flight.
  • During the scan, loud noises can be heard — this is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Your child will be provided with ear protection or headphones with the option to listen to their favorite music.

What Happens During the Examination?

  • A parent may accompany the child into the examination room and stay with them throughout the entire scan.
  • Younger children can bring their favorite soft toy into the scanner to help them feel safe.
Please make sure in advance that the toy has no metal parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Information About MRI

How Does an MRI Examination Work?

MRI is a completely non-invasive and painless procedure. During the scan, the patient lies inside the machine, which uses a magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of internal body structures.

The entire process typically takes between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the area being examined.

Can I Have an MRI if I Have Implants?

Yes, our modern MRI equipment allows us to scan patients with implants.
However, it is essential to inform us in advance about any implants, metal objects in your body, or other medical devices.

How to Prepare for an MRI Examination?
